2022-2023 Initiatives
- The major project is the first World Conference on Transplant and Regenerative Medicine, which will bring together the major societies of both worlds, for the first time together. The project is on hold due to the pandemic, but will hopefully be resumed after ATC.
- Submit symposium proposals to the conferences of the major regenerative medicine societies.
- Sponsor one or two travel awards for young clinicians/investigators to relevant conferences.
- Provide a monthly update on hot topics to appear on the website.
- During the first three months of our tenure, we will explore the feasibility of organizing a one-of-a-kind conference sponsored by NIH, the European Commission and the above societies that will put together for the first time all the above entities that share an interest in the broad field of regenerative medicine.
- Established collaboration with the Recovery and Preservation COP for joint session proposals for ATC, journal clubs, etc.
- Submit symposium proposals to the conferences of the above societies.
- Sponsor one or two travel awards for young clinicians/investigators to relevant conferences.
- Provide a monthly update on hot topics to appear on the website.
- Publish one paper annually on regenerative medicine topics relevant to transplant medicine.
- Implement the Twitter account.
- Assess the feasibility of video documentation of our meetings and do further analysis using YouTube analytics.
- Develop the TRM COP’s strategic plan.
- Provide TRM COP members with a list (updated bi-weekly) of relevant, newly published manuscripts related to the mission of TRM COP.
- Nominate members for the AST Board and other leadership positions within AST.
- Offer the TRM COP as a forum for academic education and collaboration for our members on their initiatives and efforts to manufacture human tissue for transplantation.
- Encourage members to share ideas and suggest initiatives via the TRM COP Hub.
- Sustain COP-to-AST membership conversion.
- Submit a Controversies Conference Proposal for 2023
- Provide regular updates to COP members and the AST Board.
